緣起與目的

為推廣機器人教育，引發學生學習科學之興趣，並提昇資訊教育水準，俾促進社會大眾對科技之認知，達到提升國民科技素養之目標。

競賽特點

本競賽著重使用工業機器人解決問題。工業機器人為一個可重複程式設計、多功能的操縱器，用來搬運材料、零件、工具或透過特定裝置以執行各種不同性能的任務(註一)。
